Information collection and use

We may collect and store the following information:

• Bluetooth Access

  Bluetooth access is required to be able to scan for and connect to the picoTera device.

• GPS Location Data (Android App Only)

  When you use our Android app, we will ask to enable location services on your device. Location services must be enabled for BLE scanning to function on Android 6.0 or higher. We will not gather or use the specific location of your device without your explicit permission.

• Microphone Data

  Will be used to record audio samples when reporting Digital Ear errors. It is also used when calibrating the device to detect truck backup alerts. We will not gather or use microphone data without your explicit permission.

• Telephone Access

  Is needed to be able to know when you receive a phone call to send a notification to the connected picoTera device. We will not gather or use your incoming calls at any time.

Third Parties

We will not share any of your information with third parties outside picoTera without your consent except as noted in this policy.

Security

Security of our users’ information is a priority at picoTera. While we take precautions to protect your data, no security measure is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the security of user information.

Accessing User Information

We will not track or gather any user information other than what users provide for registration or feedback purposes. If you have questions regarding the privacy of this service, the privacy policy, or information we may have about you, please contact us at feedback@picotera.co. We will respond within a reasonable period of time.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Occasionally we may make changes to the privacy policy. When we make material changes to the privacy policy, we will provide you with prominent notice.
